1. The constant battle to eat and exercise the "right" way to have a better body is a lose-lose situation. You will NEVER win because what you fight, fights back.

2. Here's what to do if food rules that tell you what you "should", "always", "never" eat are making you INSANE.

3. Ever since I wrote my own food rules and my Body Love Manifesto, I've never been happier in my own skin.

I'LL BE HONEST WITH YOU:

Breaking the rules is NOT easy.

This is all about going against the status quo. It's about re-programming your mind after decades and generation of messages about diets, weight loss, and beauty. This new way of thinking and living asks you to love and accept yourself NOW...not 20 pounds from now. I'll give you concrete, practical tips to make this a part of your life, but it'll be up to you to take ACTION.

Breaking the rules does NOT happen overnight.

I don't believe in get-fit-quick schemes. If you want real, sustainable change, you'll have to be patient...it takes time.  I spent 25 years in a cycle of chronic dissatisfaction and obsessive self-improvement. It's taken me 3 years of deliberate action to get to this point...and I'm STILL doing the work. Considering that many women spend a LIFETIME of being dissatisfied with themselves, 3 years is actually not that long.

Breaking the rules is NOT impossible.

For years, I believed that the constant pursuit of weight loss was just part of being a woman. Eventually, I realized that there was way more to my life than chasing a number on the scale. I've been able to change my beliefs and behavior, and I've helped many other women do the same. You have to be willing to change what you believe about yourself...not just change what you eat or the way you exercise.
